Today is the last day of the year and it’s safe to say that 2013 was one of the best and most adventurous years both personally and professionally, I’ve ever had. In 2013 we visited and photographed couples all around the world. Our travels took us to St. Lucia, the Virgin Islands, the entire state of Florida and California, Georgia, South Carolina, Canada, Greece and Mexico! It’s truly been an incredible year. When I look back through these images of couples who allowed us to share some of the most intimate and cherished moments of their life, I can’t help but feel extremely fortunate and full. I see so many faces that started out as strangers and became friends.
This fall was particularly special for me, as many of my couples from previous years are now parents. There’s something really neat and fun about documenting a couples wedding and seeing them later as parents and a family. I had many familiar faces in front of my camera this fall and I can’t tell you how many evenings I wrapped a shoot thinking “I have the best job”. I am so very fortunate to do what I love for some really awesome people and families.
This year came to a close on a personal high note when my childhood penpal/boyfriend asked if I “wanted to get married”! I’m sure I’ll eventually write about our story in more detail, but in short, Eric is the kindest, most intelligent and sweetest man I’ve ever known; who’s smile I can’t get enough of. I am indeed, very fortunate.
Finally, a special thanks to some of my dearest industry peers and friends, who continually contribute to the successful events of our couples. You are the best and without you things simply wouldn’t be nearly as awesome.
