Adri + Jon

Katie and I traveled to South Florida for Adri and Jon’s incredible wedding at the Westin, in Hollywood Florida and this wedding, without a doubt was worth the trip. I arrived at Adri’s suite at the Westin in Hollywood, Florida to find a busy room full of family, bridesmaids, several hair and make up artists; the room was filled with excitement and energy. It was then that I knew this was going to be a good day. Adri + Jon live in Boston and so the first time we met was on the day of their wedding and while I knew they were very sweet from our phone and email correspondence, I didn’t realize just how incredibly full their hearts are for one another.

Finalizing Adri’s look took a bit longer than she’d anticipated. As the time was growing short before the ceremony, she was getting a bit anxious to begin portraits, and I could see some stress in Adri’s eyes; but that didn’t last long. Adri and Jon opted for a first look, and typically when we do a first look we sort of set the Groom up and allow the Bride to come up behind him, not Adri and Jon. She exited the elevator and before we had a chance, she literally ran up to him  and embraced him with the biggest smile. It was perfect and exactly how a first look should be. From that point on, I never saw anything but a smile on their faces.

We began portraits, exploring every corner of the Westin in Hollywood Florida and as I would set Adri up for an image, he would exasperate “bella” meaning, beautiful! Every woman deserves to be adored the way Jon does Adri. And it’s clear that Adri adores Jon just as much.

With the forecast threatening us with rain the entire day, they decided to move their ceremony underneath a tent outside the Westin in Hollywood, Florida. The entire ceremony was in spanish, and though I do not speak spanish, their ceremony and vows were so profound and heart felt, I could feel everything that was being said. Following their ceremony Adri, Jon and their guests celebrated non-stop until the early hours of the morning! They didn’t cut cake or have toasts, they just danced the night away. As Katie and I packed up our gear and headed to our room for the night, we looked an each other and said “AMAZING!” It was just such a fun and sweet wedding to be a part of! Adri and Jon, we just adore you both and thank you for sharing your incredible day with us!
