It’s an honor when another (very talented wedding photographer) asks if you’ll photograph their wedding. Tanya contacted me shortly before she became engaged inquiring about my availability for the following year. It was then I learned she is a fun, incredibly sweet and ridiculously talented sacramento based wedding photographer. Not only was I honored to be hired for the job, but I was incredibly excited. Tanya being a wedding photographer herself knows how important great light, a great location for portraits and extending complete trust in your photographer is. And she did just that.
Tanya and Brian planned their wedding in the backyard of the very home Tanya grew up in. Nestled in the woods of Meadow Vista, down by the lake, these two exchanged beautiful and tear-jerking vows. There weren’t many dry eyes in the faces of their family and friends.
The celebration began with their first dance on the dock, over-looking the lake, precisely at sundown! It was absolute magic. Following the formalities, Tanya, Brian and their guests did not leave the dance floor! The fit as many people onto that floor as it could possibly fit and Joe Kalamares, with SJ’s disc jockey kept the party going! You know it’s a fantastic reception when it ends only because the police show up to inform you of the noise ordinance.
It was absolute perfection and Tanya and Brian could not be a sweeter couple or better matched. I’m so happy for these two and we’re so fortunate to have been part of their day.
Lastly, thanks to Charlton Churchill who co-shot this wedding with me!
