Sydney + Ben

July 5, 2010 by Jessica Stout 6 Comments

Sometimes things just fall right into place. I find myself inspired when I get to work with couples like Sydney and Ben. The two are completely infectious, inviting and completely in love! Sydney and Ben were both so eager and enthusiastic about the photography aspect of their wedding and really allowed me creative freedom. That, combined with a venue like The Monte Verde Inn, well, I’m a happy little wedding photographer to say the least. I shared this story with their e session post, but it is so darn cute, here it is again….They were just 15- a couple of crazy teenagers. At the time, Ben had a girlfriend, and Sydney noticed him, primarily for the way he treated that girlfriend…he was sweet and respectful. Well, as high school goes, Sydney told his friend to tell him, that she thought he was REALLY cute. Which he did, and consequently they began “hanging out”. Now, they weren’t kissing or holding hands or anything like that. But there was a definite connection between the two. Well, when Sydney’s mother found out that Ben had a girlfriend, that was it! She took Sydney’s cell phone, retrieved his number, and let him have it! Because of the respect he showed to her on the phone that day, Ben won over not only Sydney’s but her Mothers heart too. It’s been nine years and what’s neat about their relationship is who they were when they were 15, is undoubtedly not who they are today. We change so much in that span of our lives. But they grew up together, they adapted together, and still love each other for who they are. They married this past weekend at The Monte Verde Inn and we’re so happy for them!
