In a day and age where you can swipe to find a date, order your coffee before you arrive, purchase just about anything online and have it delivered to your house and pick your wedding vendors off of reviews and sign a contract without ever having talked to them before, Monica wanted to meet us. When I opened the door to our home office, I believe I exclaimed, you’re so cute!! I couldn’t help it. Before me stood this sweet, stylish girl with the kindest eyes and demeanor. She and I chatted for over an hour and I felt like I was talking with an old friend. I was so happy when she hired us to photograph her marry her best friend Josh. I met Josh at their engagement session and could not believe what a perfect fit the two of them are. They have such a similar energy, both are nurses, have a similar sense of humor and are equally smitten with one another.
They married at the Hammock Dunes Creek Course, not to be confused with the Hammock Dunes Resort, though they’re affiliated. When you dream up your perfect weather conditions for your wedding, well, that’s what Monica + Josh had. It was sunny, light winds and not too hot. These two shared personal vows and had Monica’s aunt marry the two of them for an extra personal touch.
They had a wonderful team of vendors and we are so grateful to have worked with Lindsay Ohlin of Coastal Celebrations who is always on top of every last detail of a wedding day. She is so helpful and amazing to work with. Alongside Coastal Celebrations was the wonderful staff of Hammock Dunes and no other than Crystal Hill, who is the best at what she does and does it with an infectious smile on her face.
This day was perfection and we are so honored to share some of the highlights of their day with you.
