I first met Adam the day of the wedding. Kara shot prep photos of the guys while I shot photos of the girls. When I introduced myself at the Epping Forest Yacht Club, I said to him, “Adam, Marissa looks amazing, wait until you see her” at that moment, I saw tears well in his eyes and he literally choked on his breath and simply nodded. I knew in that moment, we were going to witness a profound and extraordinary love; and we did. Adam’s reaction to Marissa coming down the aisle at Epping Forest Yacht Club is not a reaction we’ll soon forget. Their ceremony was filled with so much sincerity and there were few dry eyes during their exchange of vows. One thing that really stood out to me was when Adam told Marissa that his last name had a new sense of dignity and pride it hadn’t had previously; what a tremendous way to think of giving someone your name. This kind of love is what marriage is all about.
The evening continued at the Epping Forest Yacht Club with just 30 of their closest friends and family with an intimate dinner; which the Epping Forest does a beautiful job in taste and presentation. They enjoyed and celebrated including several Jewish traditions including one of our favorites, the Hora! This kind of couple and wedding is exactly what photographers live for! We adore Marissa + Adam and couldn’t be happier for them!
