Cat + Mike

With our gear packed and passports in hand Eric and I traveled down to Orlando to catch a plane to Costa Rica where we would meet up with Cat + Mike for the first time. We’d been looking forward to this wedding for quite some time and less because of the adventure to Costa Rica and more for the incredibly awesome couple we’d come to expect Mike + Cat to be. These two are fun-loving, sarcastic, don’t take life too seriously, adventure-seeking and passionate about life kind of people. We met up with Cat and the handful of her closest friends and family at the airport and took a two hour, windy and wild ride up into the rain forest of Costa Rica. All of use would be staying together at a quaint Hotel Kokoro. Cat + Mike treated their guests to a beautiful vacation including touring waterfalls in the rain forest, ATV rides in the rain, an evening of hot springs, and of course, a night of celebration for their wedding. Their ceremony was sweet and heart-felt and you’ll see there weren’t many dry eyes as these two exchanged vows. It was truly a wedding we will never forget. Cat is a talented wedding photographer herself and it was an honor to have been asked to document their destination wedding.
