During a ceremony I’m completely focused on the couple, their parents, and friends. I’m looking for emotion and unique angles, but I’m also listening. Listening helps me to know what to expect next and anticipate an image to come. And while I’m focused on all this, I still adore hearing the exchange of vows. It’s probably my favorite part of the day. I love when the man you least expect, begins to cry. I love the deep exhale from the Bride before she begins to make her promises. I love the look on the parents faces as they hear their children make such a profound commitment. And I especially love when couples write their own vows; it’s what they intend to promise, how they feel, and what marriage is and will be to them. “I promise to tell you that I feel differently and not that you are wrong” Amber told Brad during her vows. What an absolutely perfect and thoughtful vow. Amber + Brad’s vows were sweet, sincere and thoughtful and this left for few dry eyes. It was truly a pleasure to document such a sweet couple! Brad and Amber, thank you for sharing your day with us, I adore you both and when I’m in Denver, I do hope we can catch up!
